The Skull Alliance (Art Thread)

Post by SkullDevil on Wed Jul 02, 2014 4:56 pm

Yes, I'm bringing this back. Despite the fact that I've been developing this series for what seems like an eternity, I'm still not giving up on it. I really to advance production with The Skull Alliance, hopefully starting with the completion of the script Tech is currently writing for Metamorphosis (the pilot episode).

With that said, and because I'm bored, I made these title logos for the first three episodes:

Woah, your art style have improved greatly, Scorp. I really like the detail on Scorp's cyber-arm, Skull's costume, and how classy Aussie looks with the pimp cane he is holding.

Skull, you can take Proto out of the story, since I am not interested in keeping him anymore. However, you can add a newer Proto to the story, and if you like, discuss how we can integrate him into the story on Skype.

Well, I have been meaning to write my own version of Proto for my Skull Alliance story. I'm meaning to start with Scorpion's character arc as it the part that I'm most passionate about since it has alot of things that I'm passionate about, and also it could serve as the framework for the rest of the Skull Alliance stories.

So now I got The Main 5 that I established for The Skull Alliance.
All that's left now is to write out my complete character arc.

So currently, I'm working towards a new draft with a relative during the summer with a relative. Hope I'll actually be able to follow through with that though. My only problem with what I have planned is that it might focus a bit too much about Scorp.

This is exemplified with this new character I made.

Spoiler:

This is Bradley Kazuma AKA Kazuo. He's obviously a clone of Kirito from SAO that basically acts as a foil to Scorp.

The thing is that the Scorp I have planned is impulsive, short-tempered, careless, and mainly relies on his overpowered nature to get the job done. On the other hand, Kazuo is more careful, calculative, and level-headed, mainly having multiple overpowered skills to make up for the fact that he's still human for the most part.

However, what makes him interesting in my eyes is all the times that I imagine Scorp making fun of Kazuo for his edgelord/OC nature that he constantly gives off. Not to mention the idea of these two being at ends with each other sounds both funny and interesting. Funny because there's humor in the idea that in some manner them being not so different from each other being that they're both overpowered teenagers fighting for what's right, and Interesting because it kinda connects with the idea where some things comes easier to some people than it does to others and vice-versa.

An example being that:

Scorp:
- Unskilled, But Strong
- Has 2 loyal friends
- Divisive amongst the public
- Respected amongst his allies
- Has a loving family
- Has trouble around girls
- Suffers mental problems on top of anger issues
- Nigh-invulnerable superhero

Kazuo:
- Weak, But Skilled
- Has a nice girlfriend
- Celebrity status amongst the public
- Total mockery amongst his allies
- Has an estranged family
- Basically a chick magnet
- Mentally sound for the most part and patient
- Is still human
