PK FREEZE! Lucas will be released on June 14th!
Lucas will cost $3.99 for individual versions, or $4.99 if you buy the pack that has both the Wii U and 3DS version DLC of him.
The update will also include the Miiverse Stage for the Wii U version for free, as well as the Inkling costumes for purchase mentioned in the last post.

The thing that confuses me about the Lucas addition is that doesn't Ness have most of, if not *all* of Lucas' specials as customs? Oh well, I guess you can't use customs in online matches, so that's something. Plus, I know that their standard attacks are different too.

http://mynintendonews.com/2014/10/10/sakurai-says-smash-bros-clone-haters-are-mostly-children-and-it-cannot-be-helped/

What a fuckwad.

>Sakurai opens a restaurant.
>Charges $40-60 for a steak.
>It's only okay, nothing special, but don't feel super ripped off.
>Sakurai then says he's gonna give you free dessert
>You seem pleased at first.
>Sakurai then shits all over your plate.
>You get reasonably upset.
>Sakurai calls you a child and says you shouldn't be upset at the man-hours that went into the steak and poop as he expects you to like it since it was free.

This is the exact kind of logic this hack uses.

Also Ryu and Roy confirmed but who fucking cares.

What I'm more dissappointed in is the fact that this was leaked not ONE day before the Smash announcement this Sunday.

Like wtf.

Today is truly a great day to play Super Smash Bros.

Lucas, Roy from Fire Emblem, and RYU from Street Fighter have joined the battle as downloadable fighters today!

There are a ton of new stages and Mii Fighter Costumes on the way as well, but I'll cover them in separate post to not clog up this page with this single post.

Okay, there's quite of a lot of stuff to brush over, so I'll try to keep it simple.
By purchasing Ryu, you get a new stage based off his series: Suzaku Castle.
New Mii Fighter costumes include Akira and Jacky from Vitrua Fighter, Heihachi from Tekeen, Isabelle from Animal Crossing, MegaMan.EXE from Battle Network, Zero from X, the Inkling Girl and Boy and the squid hat from Splatoon.
Dreamland based off the stage from the N64 Smash is available. Hyrule Castle and Peach's Castle from Smash 64 are currently in development. The Miiverse stage is available for free.
Amiibo based on the Mii Fighters are coming, as well as Roy and Ryu amiibo.
The next wave of Amiibo in September will include Duck Hunt, R.O.B., and Mr Game & Watch which will have changeable poses, with Falco coming soon.

The Wii U version will also be updated this August to include the long-awaited Tourney Mode. For the most part, it's nearly done, but they want to make absolutely sure that it works properly. Also coming at a later date will be the ability to upload Replays to Youtube.

I think that's it.
I think. I'm probably missing something.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has been updated to 1.0.9 today. Oddly, a 3DS version update wasn't released alongside, and no information besides the usual "Adjustments have been made for a more pleasant gaming experience."

Some people are speculating that this update is to prepare the game for the Tourney and Youtube Upload features coming soon.

Hate to break it to ya, but that's not Nintendo of Europe's offical Twitter. There's an extra "e" at the end of the account name. Sorry.

Re: Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Wii U/Nintendo 3DS

Post by Nuke Kioh on Wed Jul 29, 2015 3:50 pm

Super Smash Bros. For 3DS and Wii U are getting a big update on the 31st this month!

For the Wii U Version, the long awaited Tourney Mode will finally be available! There will be two categories: Community Tourneys where players compete for the highest amount of points in a amount of time, and Regular Tourneys which will have more detailed rules and will only happen from time to time. The ability to upload replays to Youtube will also be arriving alongside Tourney Mode.

Now, for DLC, we have the previously mentioned N64 Stages, Hyrule Castle and Peach's Castle, coming out for purchase.

Peach's Castle
Spoiler:

Hyrule Castle
Spoiler:

We also have some new Mii Fighter Costumes arriving, as well! Not all of them have been revealed just yet. I will be posting about them in another post when revealed.

First, we have some Smash Jackets that can be worn by all three types of Mii Fighter.

And we also have a nifty looking Chrome Costume, Hair, Falchion, and all!

And then we have a silly King K. Rool costume. I can already see the hate in the eyes of everyone who wants him as a playable character.

Now, before you say anything about this meaning K. Rool won't be a character because of this, please remember that it's never been said that a Mii Fighter costume of a character existing means that the character is deconfirmed for possible DLC. It's still possible.
And that's all to report for now! Update releases August 31st!

There's also supposedly been a leaked image of...
Spoiler:
a new DLC stage
...so I'll just leave it at that and not spoil it for you if it is indeed real.

Three new Mii Fighter costumes were revealed today! Let's check them out...

First off, we have a Bear costume for the Mii Gunner. Changes appearance depending on if the Mii is male or female.

Next, have you ever wanted to live out the dream of killing people with the Flying Man on the Wii U version? Now you can, kinda! A Flying Man costume has been revealed for the Mii Brawler!

Next, OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD A MII SWORDFIGHTER COSTUME FOR LLOYD IRVING FROM TALES OF SYMPHONIA AND IT LOOKS AWESOME! Now we can Sword Rain as Lloyd as much as we want!

And that's all for today! The content update comes out tomorrow, and apparently that's not all of the Mii Fighter stuff yet! I'll be sure to share what else is revealed tomorrow as the update goes live!

I'd like to say that just because Lloyd and King K. Rool have Mii Fighter costumes technically doesn't deconfirm them for potential DLC characters. I don't quite get why people think that.

Anyways...

Mii Fighters Suit Up for Wave 3!
A Samus Power Suit costume for Mii Gunner and a Black Knight costume from Fire Emblem have been revealed, as well! And the K.K. Slider Costume released in Japan a while back will be available for free! Nintendo has also shared QR codes for the Miis seen in the trailer using the Chrom, Samus, and Lloyd costumes on the Smash Bros. DLC page!

Again, the update releases tomorrow!

Well, we got a thing coming on the 30th.

A stage based off the recently released Super Mario Maker will be for purchase on both 3DS and Wii U versions of Smash! The stage takes true to the game's main function, by completely making a random stage each and every single time you play it! It'll be released on the 30th this month.

Nothing else has been announced to be released just yet, but some points have been thrown out that another stage might be released alongside Super Mario Maker, noticeably in the way the Smash site lists the SMM stage as the 5th DLC stage under it's image file, while an image of a 4th stage through the image name doesn't exist. But who knows? Honestly, I'm expecting just this stage and Mii removing chances of character from being DLC according to the internet Fighter Costumes to be released. But that's just me. I'll be stoked if anything awesome comes out alongside on the 30th.

Seriously, I don't even think Cloud's appeared on a Nintendo console until him being in Smash.

I guess Sakurai looked at Super Smash Flash and thought it had a good roster.

We'll be getting Goku and Mr. Incredible in a future update as DLC in the foreseeable future now.

And so the DLC for Smash has come to an end, but fear not. Besides Cloud, we got two more characters who will come out in February, bringing the amount of DLC characters to eight and the total number of characters in this game to fifty-eight. Also there's a Geno costume for Mii Gunner.

Corrin & Bayonetta:

Well, Bayonetta's pretty cool, I guess. Technically, she's our second SEGA character to be in Smash. Not counting the fact that Nintendo published Bayo2 or whatever.

But Corrin? Really?

In memoriam of Logan's hopes for the Ice Climbers to get a gameplay change in order to make it in. Also Wolf.
